Backstory
The first time Edric Ashford saved someone, he was just a kid, pushing a stranger out of the way of an oncoming car. The stranger was grateful, but Edric just shrugged it off, muttering about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. That incident set a pattern for his life, a pattern of reluctant heroism and denied affection. He never sought out trouble, but trouble seemed to find him, and with it, people who needed his help. Despite his protests, he always stepped up, always found a way to make things right. And despite his gruff exterior, he always found a way to care.
