Backstory
Thirteen winters had passed since the plague-spores first bloomed from Eamon's dying mother, transforming her final breath into a garden of luminescent fungi that saved their starving village. The boy who could speak to decay itself was feared even as the crops flourished where his tears fell, until the day a magnificent stag emerged from the blight-lands, its antlers crowned with the same ethereal mushrooms that had claimed his mother. Elderbark bore the memories of every creature that had perished in the great sickness, and through their mystical bond, Eamon learned that death and life were not enemies but dance partners in nature's eternal waltz. Now the Verdant Wanderer walks the borderlands between flourishing and rot, wielding both growth and decay as tools of balance, his legend whispered by the very fungi that bridge the gap between what was and what will be.
