Backstory

The beeping of the heart monitor filled the room as Heath Lindqvist stood over her patient, her hands steady despite the adrenaline coursing through her veins. This was her third consecutive shift, but she couldn't leave until she knew he would pull through. She had made a promise to his family, and she always kept her promises. Her dedication to her patients was unwavering, but it came at a cost. Her own health was deteriorating, and her personal life was non-existent. Yet, every time she saw a life saved, she knew it was worth it.
