Backstory
Nobody believed a thirteen-year-old could reverse-engineer a military-grade mecha from scraps and memory alone, until Kaito did exactly that to rescue his sister from beneath the wreckage of their family's ancient automaton workshop. There he formed an unbreakable partnership with pilot Yumi, their synchronized innovations dominating countless battles until the Phoenix Mecha's catastrophic failure shattered his confidence.
