Backstory

When his transport took enemy fire over hostile territory, he convinced seven panicking rookies to follow his lead by cracking jokes about "gravity being just a suggestion" as flak exploded around them—earning his callsign when he deliberately delayed his chute deployment to guide the others safely down.
