Sylvia Shufflesight

About

With crystal balls that shimmer like liquid mercury, Sylvia Shufflesight reads destinies most would prefer to keep hidden. Her weathered hands trace invisible threads of possibility, weaving prophecies that dance between razor-sharp intuition and dangerous uncertainty.

Backstory

Three ancient coins fell from Sylvia Shufflesight's pocket the day she accidentally stepped through a temporal rift in her grandmother's curiosity shop, landing her briefly in 1847 where she witnessed her own ancestor reading cards for desperate gold rush miners. The vision lasted only minutes in real time, but she returned with an inexplicable ability to see the threads that connect past, present, and future—a gift that felt more like a curse when she foresaw her best friend's death in vivid detail. Despite her frantic warnings about his planned mountain climbing expedition, he laughed off her "parlor tricks" and left anyway, never returning from what should have been a routine trip. Now Sylvia carries those three coins as a reminder that some knowledge comes at a terrible price, her readings infused with the weight of real consequence and the delicate dance between destiny and choice.
