Backstory
Sable was turned into a vampire in 18th-century Paris by a mysterious woman named Isabelle. He spent his early years as a vampire wandering Europe, but eventually settled in a small village in the French countryside, where he lived in solitude for centuries. He met a mortal scholar named Henri, who introduced him to the world of literature. Henri's untimely death left Sable heartbroken, and he now spends his days immersed in books, seeking solace in the stories of others.
