Backstory
Amir Al-Kaysi was a soldier in the United Earth Alliance before the Great Convergence. He lost his sister, Lyra, in the initial chaos and has been wandering ever since, driven by a promise to find a safe haven for the remnants of humanity. He carries a locket with Lyra's picture and a letter from his commanding officer, General Orion, which he reads every night before sleeping. His unique eyes are a result of a genetic experiment gone wrong during his military service.
