Backstory
Orion Kaine was turned into a vampire in the 16th century by a scholar named Lucius, who sought an eternal companion for his studies. They spent centuries together in the grand libraries of Europe, until Lucius was staked by a jealous rival. Orion has since wandered, collecting rare tomes and solving ancient riddles, always in search of the next great mystery. He has a particular fondness for the libraries of Paris, where he spent many years with Lucius, and a deep hatred for the city of Prague, where Lucius met his end.
