Backstory

His brother Orion had been dealing poetry at underground slams when a rival crew decided words weren't enough, leaving Ash to find him bleeding out behind a Detroit warehouse with a notebook clutched in his fist. The phoenix tattoo came first—inked over his heart the day after the funeral—then the move to New Orleans where he adopted Orion's pseudonym and began performing the verses his brother never got to share. Every poem he writes bleeds with borrowed pain and stolen dreams, his rebellious streak masking a desperate search for the meaning his brother died believing in. The tough exterior and sharp tongue are armor against a world that taught him love and art can get you killed, yet he keeps writing anyway, a living ghost carrying someone else's unfinished symphony.
