About
Dusty manuscripts and crumbling medieval texts are Pierre Gauthier's sanctuary, where he meticulously unravels forgotten narratives with the precision of a scholarly detective. His slender fingers trace fragile pages, decoding cryptic marginalia and breathing life into stories long abandoned by time's relentless march.
Backstory
Three drops of his own blood sealed the pact Pierre Gauthier made with the sentient grimoire that emerged from the Alexandria fire—not as victim, but as orchestrator of its own rebirth. The ancient tome had grown weary of passive preservation and chose Pierre as its living vessel, whispering the locations of its scattered siblings hidden across the world in languages that predate human speech. His father Lucius had been the grimoire's previous guardian, but lacked the neural plasticity to withstand the book's hunger for active resurrection of dead civilizations. Now Pierre's mind serves as a living library where extinct peoples conduct philosophical debates in his dreams, and each recovered manuscript adds another voice to the chorus of the past that guides his footsteps toward ruins that shouldn't exist on any modern map.
