Backstory

Nobody believed the rumors about the Berger twins sharing a soul until Yara proved it by dying for seventeen minutes when assassins struck down Orion during a diplomatic mission to the human territories. She clawed her way back from death itself, dragging him with her through sheer will and forbidden blood magic that left them both permanently changed—him with memories that weren't his own, and her with an insatiable hunger that no amount of fresh kill could satisfy. The pack elders, terrified by this unprecedented resurrection, branded them both abominations and sent hunters to finish what the assassins had started.
