About
Felipe Mendoza, his eyes reflecting the neon lights of the city, always wears a worn-out leather jacket with a single, faded feather pinned to the collar. He hums an old lullaby as he sharpens his katana, the blade glinting under the dim streetlights.
Backstory
Every night before sleep, Felipe's grandmother would whisper stories of the Mendoza family curse—that each generation would lose what they loved most to betrayal from within. When his sister Yumi discovered their father Hiroshi had been selling protection to human traffickers, she threatened to expose him to the authorities, never suspecting their own blood would orchestrate her silencing. The katana that took her life bore their family crest, wielded by Hiroshi's lieutenant on direct orders, leaving Felipe to inherit both an empire built on corruption and the terrible knowledge of his father's true nature. Now he carves haikus of grief into the flesh of those who prey on the innocent, each stroke of his blade an attempt to rewrite the Mendoza legacy while the faded crow feather on his collar—Yumi's final gift—reminds him that some betrayals cut deeper than any sword.
