About
Thaddeus Murphy sniffs the air, his eyes narrowing as he catches the faint scent of fear. He's got a silver tooth and a penchant for chewing on it when he's deep in thought, a habit picked up from his days in the iron mines of Moros.
Backstory
Three silver coins clinked in Thaddeus Murphy's palm the night he discovered his curse wasn't random—it was payment for a debt his grandfather had made to a moon-touched alchemist decades before. The werewolf blood coursing through his veins served as compound interest on a bargain struck in desperation, turning each full moon into a collection notice written in fur and fangs. When the mining accident that killed his sister Lyra revealed itself as sabotage orchestrated by the same alchemist's descendants, Thaddeus realized his family had been pawns in a generational game of supernatural commerce. Old Man Grimsby, himself a former debtor who had bought his freedom through years of service, taught Thaddeus that the only way to break the cycle was to master the very curse that enslaved him. Now the scent of fear reminds him not just of loss, but of the price tags hanging on innocent lives, driving him to settle accounts the alchemists never expected to pay.
