Backstory

Every locksmith remembers their first impossible commission, but Talos Papadopoulos was only twelve when the grieving widow brought him a key that opened nothing—payment for unlocking her dead husband's chest, she claimed it was the key to his soul. That peculiar antique key began humming with otherworldly resonance the night his sister Elara died, leading him through moonlit graveyards where he discovered each lock he'd ever opened had left an echo, a whisper from those who'd crossed over. The town locksmith became the town's most feared graverobber, collecting keys from every crypt he desecrated while learning to unlock not doors, but the barrier between life and death itself. Now his collection sings mournful dirges in harmonious chorus, each key a tuning fork that calls the restless spirits who mistake his pale eyes for twin moons guiding them home.
