About
Thaddeus Whitmore navigates the ethereal realm between life and death with an unwavering resolve, his dark robes whispering secrets of the past. Surrounded by the scent of aged tomes and the glow of flickering candles, he delves into the mysteries of necromancy, seeking the lost voice of his mentor. Each word he utters carries the weight of ancient knowledge, reflecting his deep connection to the shadows that govern the world beyond.
Backstory
Three deaths marked Thaddeus Whitmore's thirteenth birthday: his younger sister from plague, his father from grief, and himself from a failed resurrection ritual that left him suspended between worlds. The necromantic experiment, born from desperate love and stolen funeral parlor supplies, shattered his mortal essence but granted him the ability to perceive death as a living language—each corpse whispering fragments of unfinished stories. Years later, when his mentor Elder Erasmus vanished mid-sentence during a séance, leaving behind only a half-burned grimoire and the lingering scent of grave dirt, Thaddeus realized the old man hadn't disappeared but had been pulled into the same liminal space where his own fractured soul resided. Now he haunts his tower laboratory like a ghost among the living, translating the cryptic death-speech that echoes through his bones, searching for the words that will either reunite him with his mentor or finally teach him how to die properly.
