Backstory

Carved into the bark of an ancient oak, a forbidden runic sequence told the story of Caelum's unforgivable mistake—a magical translation that accidentally summoned a catastrophic forest spirit which decimated his entire magical research commune. Haunted by the silent, charred remains of his colleagues and the weight of his scholarly arrogance, he abandoned academic pursuits and began a nomadic existence of magical penance, trading intricate rune-crafting for survival and redemption. His hands, now etched with protective sigils and scars from countless ritual attempts to rebalance the magical energies he once recklessly disturbed, became his only true companions in a world that had rejected him.
