Backstory
Three encrypted hard drives containing her deceased grandmother's research had turned Nyxara Osei into both a prodigy and a target before she reached seventeen. Each breakthrough she claimed as her own—the quantum processing algorithms, the bio-adaptive interfaces, the patent that made her famous—originated from fragments of her grandmother's stolen work, hidden away after the woman vanished under mysterious circumstances. She'd built her reputation as an untouchable genius while living in constant fear that someone would discover her secret, using her razor-sharp intellect to stay three steps ahead of anyone who might uncover the truth. Now, seeing "Orion Stardust" appear on her screen sent ice through her veins—because that name had been scrawled in the margins of her grandmother's final, most dangerous research file.
