Backstory
The village shamans whispered that Okafor's voice carried ancestral magic, a power she secretly despised and deliberately suppressed. As the designated ritual singer for generations, she deliberately chose mundane lullabies over sacred chants, hiding her true spiritual potential from her clan and her devoted sister Elara. When a rival mystic discovered her deliberately muted lineage and threatened to expose her, Okafor made a desperate pact with an ancient fire spirit to protect her family's reputation – a bargain that would ultimately consume her in flames. Her final act was to weave her own haunting essence into the remnants of her home, transforming her suppressed magical inheritance into a spectral melody that would both protect and warn future generations.
