Backstory

When Marco tried to muscle in on the antiquated ceremonies that bound Dimitri's adopted crime family together, that same lullaby echoed through the smoky jazz club as Dimitri raised his great-grandfather's revolver, a Cossack heirloom that had traveled from Russian steppes to New Orleans streets. The raven tattooed across his back—not for loyalty, but for his mother's maiden name, Voronova—seemed to spread its wings as the hammer clicked, turning childhood trauma into the foundation of his empire.
