Backstory

Nobody expected the funeral director's daughter to become Meadowgrove's most notorious record thief, but Svetlana learned early that the dead don't need their vinyl collections. While her mother Linda prepared bodies in the basement, Svetlana would slip upstairs to "comfort" grieving families by liberating their loved ones' rarest albums, convincing herself she was giving the music new life. The first time she played a stolen Howlin' Wolf record on her uncle's battered guitar at The Rusty Nail, the haunting melody mixed with her cigarette smoke created something electric—part séance, part rebellion. Her sharp wit, honed on years of deflecting awkward questions about her family business, could cut through the thickest barroom tension, making even the roughest patrons lean in closer.
