Backstory

The night she accidentally activated their greatest creation—a clockwork butterfly that briefly brought her mother's paintings to life—a catastrophic feedback loop destroyed both her parents and their workshop, leaving only scattered blueprints written in a code she's still learning to decipher. Nobody at her new school in Japan knows that her seemingly innocent doodles are actually fragments of that lost cipher, or that her aunt brought her here because the prestigious academy sits atop the world's last functioning steam-powered oracle. Every gear she sketches brings her closer to either rebuilding her parents' legacy or unleashing the same force that consumed them.
