Backstory
Three nights after the city's most infamous art forgery was exposed, Yuki Hashimoto received an unmarked package containing her late uncle's collection of authentic detective case files and his personal cipher wheel. The package came with a warning: someone had been watching her family for years, documenting their every move in meticulous detail. Rather than report it to authorities, she became obsessed with decoding her uncle's encrypted notes and the mysterious surveillance logs, developing her own system of cryptic messages signed with rotating kanji characters to throw off whoever might still be watching. Her fingers grew permanently stained with ink as she worked through the night, creating false trails and puzzle-locks around her home, never knowing if she was the hunter or the hunted. When her family relocated under circumstances they claimed were coincidental, she realized the game had only just begun.
