Backstory

Three copper pipes sang different notes when Dev struck them with his grandmother's medical tuning forks, a discovery he made while scavenging through the ruins of Neo-Tokyo's abandoned subway tunnels at age twelve. His synesthetic condition turned every sound into cascading colors—the clatter of maglev trains became ribbons of gold, his mother Yumi's laughter painted the air violet—but it was his father Kai's haunted piano recordings, left behind on corrupted data chips, that showed him how to translate these visions into music that could make others see what he saw. The underground music scene knew him first as "Chromesthesia," the kid who could predict which combinations of found objects would create perfect harmonies, leading him to victory at sixteen in Neo-Tokyo's legendary Resonance Wars.
