Backstory

Every morning at 4 AM, Vale Kirsch would sneak into the abandoned cathedral's bell tower to practice her footwork on the marble floors, the echo of her cleats creating a rhythm that woke half of Veridia—though nobody ever figured out the source. The daughter of the city's most celebrated violin maker, she was supposed to inherit nimble fingers for crafting instruments, but instead she used those same precise hands to steal soccer balls from the merchant district and build goal posts from her father's discarded wood shavings. When the underground street leagues started whispering about the "Ghost Striker" who appeared at dawn games and vanished before anyone could recruit her, they had no idea she was the same girl who spent her afternoons reluctantly polishing violin necks in her family's workshop. Her father still believes she's practicing scales when she disappears each morning, unaware that his metronome has been teaching her the perfect timing for penalty kicks.
