Backstory

Anika Moltke was trained by her stern master, Hiroshi, in the secluded village of Kiyomizu. She left after a dispute over a mission that resulted in the death of an innocent. She now wanders, seeking redemption and a way to honor her clan's legacy without compromising her own morals. Her first kill was a corrupt official named Takashi, who had been exploiting the villagers. She carries a small, intricately carved wooden figurine given to her by her childhood friend, Sakura, as a reminder of the life she left behind.
