Backstory

She drove her dagger between his ribs not in defiance of orders, but because she'd discovered he was the architect behind every "random" attack that decimated the villages they were supposed to protect. The other soldiers saw only betrayal; they couldn't see the coded messages she'd intercepted, the bribes she'd traced, or the way Orion's pupils dilated whenever he lied about their mission objectives. Now she hunts the remaining members of his corruption network, each name carved into her memory like notches on her blade, while former allies chase her across the continent, convinced she's the traitor when she's the only one who knew the truth.
