Backstory

Her sister Lyra called it impossible until Isolde laid out a reading that predicted their grandmother's secret recipe box would be found behind the loose floorboard, which happened exactly seventy-two hours later, sparking the argument that would drive them apart. When more cards began appearing in impossible places—floating up from storm drains, sliding out of closed textbooks, materializing in her locker—Isolde realized she wasn't just reading the future, she was accidentally summoning it into existence. Now she carries seventeen different decks, each one a tool for controlled chaos, determined to master the strange magnetism that turns her predictions into reality before her uncontrolled magic reshapes the world around her.
