Backstory

The street brawl that claimed his father's life had been over a debt to the Yakuza—money owed for protecting their family's struggling art supply store from rival gangs who saw it as prime real estate. Dante's obsession wasn't just with raw moments, but with the invisible threads of power that controlled his neighborhood, sketching corrupt politicians shaking hands with crime bosses, documenting the bribes that kept certain alleys dark and certain people silent. After dropping out at 16, he began leaving his politically charged artwork in places where it would cause maximum disruption—police stations, corporate lobbies, government buildings—until a gallery owner discovered his guerrilla installations and offered him something he'd never had: a legitimate platform for his rebellion.
