Backstory

She died clutching his hand as the rival alpha's poison coursed through her veins, whispering that only he could read the true bark-scripture, for he alone carried the bloodline of the original tree-singers. Now alpha by blood-right rather than challenge, Rory prowls the forest with his grandmother's owl familiar, racing against time to decode the ancestral warnings before the melody-thieves return to strip his pack of their very identity.
