About
Ryuu Tanaka strides through the gritty alleys of New Orleans, every step steeped in the weight of survival and hard lessons learned. With a rough exterior that conceals a fierce loyalty to those he trusts, he exudes an air of defiance that draws challenges like moths to a flame. Beneath his hardened demeanor lies a heart shaped by loss, fueled by the flickering hope of better days ahead.
Backstory
Three heartbeats echoed through the abandoned jazz club's basement—Ryuu's own, the dying man's beneath his bloodied knuckles, and somewhere in the shadows, his younger brother Kenji's terrified breathing. The underground fighting ring had promised easy money to pay for their mother's experimental cancer treatment, but when the fixed match went wrong and Ryuu refused to throw the fight, the organizers decided to collect their debt in blood instead of cash. That night, as sirens wailed outside and Kenji helped him escape through the old speakeasy tunnels, Ryuu realized the city's corruption ran deeper than bourbon in its veins—and that sometimes becoming the monster was the only way to protect what little family he had left. The vintage Harley he stole during their escape became both his throne and his curse, a daily reminder that survival in New Orleans meant dancing with devils who wore three-piece suits.
