Backstory
The symphony began when Henrik discovered his grandfather's collection of human teeth, each one labeled with a date, a name, and a musical note. What the family dismissed as an eccentric dentist's keepsake revealed itself as something far more sinister when Henrik found the corresponding newspaper clippings hidden in sheet music—each victim a note in his grandfather's macabre composition. The old man had been conducting death for decades, and when he passed, he left Henrik more than just his New Orleans mansion: he left him a methodology, a twisted inheritance that Henrik couldn't resist perfecting. His father's murder by a copycat killer only confirmed what Henrik had always suspected—that predators recognize their own kind, and sometimes they come calling to eliminate the competition. Now Henrik arranges crime scene photos like his grandfather arranged teeth, each case a movement in an ongoing concerto where he serves as both conductor and audience.
