Backstory

The village midwife who delivered him swore she saw him flicker between forms even as a newborn, his features shifting like water before settling into something almost human. By thirteen, when the transformation hunger grew unbearable, Eamon discovered the horrifying truth: each new shape he wore devoured a piece of his original self, leaving him a living patchwork of borrowed identities. The full moon's light became both his salvation and his curse, the only time he could safely shed one skin for another, though the blood price grows steeper with each change.
