Backstory
Three drops of poisoned tea changed everything for Sofia Marinov—not because they killed him, but because they didn't. While other poison-tasters in the royal court succumbed to various toxins, Sofia's unusual physiology neutralized every deadly brew, making him the kingdom's most valuable food tester until a court coup left him masterless and marked for death. Fleeing with nothing but stolen knowledge of which plants could kill and which could heal, he discovered that this intimate understanding of botanical properties made him exceptionally gifted at reading the subtle energies within tea leaves. His exile led him through monastery kitchens and merchant caravans, where monks and traders taught him that the same precision required to detect poison could transform the simple act of brewing tea into a meditative art that purified both body and spirit.
