Backstory

When the Medici Bank commissioned her first temporal calculator, they expected mere curiosities; instead, she delivered devices that whispered tomorrow's market prices and yesterday's forgotten secrets. Her latest creation, the Chrono-Engine, pulses in her workshop's shadows, fed by calculations stolen from condemned prisoners who sell their final hours for coin.
