Backstory

The old woman's spirit, delighted to finally have an audience, refused to leave and instead began teaching Dmitriya the forbidden art of shadow weaving—manipulating the thin spaces between worlds where spirits gather like moths to flame. When her younger sister died in a freak accident involving a collapsed theater balcony, the tragedy became Dmitriya's crucible; she learned to channel her grief into dark humor and biting sarcasm, discovering that laughter could cut through spiritual static better than any incantation.
