Backstory
Three copper coins clinked against each other in Lumen's pocket—the price a dying merchant paid to hear his own eulogy sung while he still breathed. That night marked the beginning of Lumen's strangest gift: the ability to perceive the final words a person would speak before death, then weave those unspoken truths into verses that could change their fate entirely. Word spread through taverns and noble courts alike of the bard who sang people back from destiny's edge, his melodies rewriting the threads of mortality itself. Now he wanders not just as an entertainer, but as a reluctant shepherd of souls, carrying the weight of futures only he can see and the terrible responsibility of choosing which deaths to prevent through song.
