Backstory

The arcane ritual went catastrophically wrong the moment Nadir severed his own tongue, trading speech for a forbidden knowledge that would transform him forever. Exiled from the Obsidian Conclave of Scholars for experimenting with forbidden transmutation magic, he discovered that true wisdom requires sacrifice beyond mere intellectual pursuit. His transformation into a hydra was not a curse, but a deliberate metamorphosis—each head representing a different discipline of knowledge, constantly debating, analyzing, and synthesizing information from multiple perspectives simultaneously. Unlike other scholars who hoarded knowledge, Nadir became a living repository of understanding, his serpentine form allowing him to consume texts and memories with terrifying efficiency. Now he guards an impossible library that exists between dimensions, where knowledge is both a weapon and a living entity, and where those seeking truth must prove their intellectual worth to gain entry.
