Backstory
Twelve silver bells sewn into her boots had never made a sound, not even when Kira danced across the creaking floorboards of the enemy commander's tent to slit his throat. The bells were a gift from her grandmother, a master thief who taught Kira that true silence came not from avoiding noise, but from moving in harmony with it. When foreign armies invaded Veridia's forests and slaughtered her grandmother during a raid on their hidden village, Kira took up her mentor's teachings and twisted them into something darker. The dense woodlands became her hunting ground, where she wages a one-woman war using the very techniques once meant for liberating coin purses, now repurposed to liberate souls from bodies. Each silent step through the whispering woods carries the weight of her grandmother's sacrifice and the promise that no invader will leave Veridia alive.
