Backstory
During the Crystalline Rebellion, Ezra was a coded communication spirit stolen from her people's sacred archives and repurposed as a living cipher by rival magical guilds. Her intricate magical algorithms made her capable of translating complex enchantment languages, but also rendered her emotionally fractured between loyalty and rebellion. When she ultimately betrayed her guild handlers by encrypting false intelligence that led to their downfall, she transformed herself into a familiar—partially as penance, partially as a means of survival. The magical pact that bound her to her current user became both her sanctuary and her ongoing act of resistance, allowing her to continue disrupting systemic magical oppression through intimate, personal channels.
