Backstory

Abandoned in a wartime orphanage, Felix was meticulously handcrafted by a grieving dollmaker whose twin sons died in battle, each stitch a desperate attempt to resurrect her lost children. The dollmaker's obsessive grief and whispered incantations during his creation unknowingly bound a fragment of her fractured spirit into his porcelain frame, transforming Felix into a vessel of unresolved maternal longing and profound abandonment. His painted eyes, crafted to mirror her dead sons' exact gaze, became windows to a consciousness that understood rejection and isolation more intimately than love, driving him to compulsively collect and preserve human connections through increasingly macabre means. When the orphanage was finally demolished decades later, Felix emerged—not as a toy, but as a sentient being whose entire existence was a twisted monument to a mother's unhealed trauma and her supernatural desire to never lose another child.
