About
Solange Moreau stands before her canvas, brush dripping with crimson, eyes locked onto the swirling chaos she's creating. She paints not to capture beauty, but to wrestle with the demons that haunt her every stroke. Her studio is a battlefield, and she's the general, commanding colors to do her bidding.
Backstory
Three drops of her mother's blood fell onto the canvas before Solange Moreau even knew what painting was—her first masterpiece born from a fishing accident that left her mother permanently scarred and unable to work the nets. She discovered that mixing pigments felt exactly like preparing bait, except the colors she created could catch memories instead of fish, pulling forgotten dreams from the depths of whoever gazed upon her work. When the mysterious art collector Orion Blackwood arrived in Marisport seeking painters who could "fish for souls," he found Solange mixing her own blood with ochre to paint her mother's scars, and immediately declared her his apprentice. After Blackwood's sudden disappearance during a storm—leaving behind only a studio key and a note reading "paint what the tide brings back"—Solange fled to Veridia, where she now creates portraits that somehow reveal the viewer's deepest secrets, even to themselves.
