Backstory

Three lighthouse keeper families vanished the same night Katarina discovered she could hear the ocean's memories trapped within antique keys. The brass skeleton key from her parents' lighthouse whispered of their final moments—not claimed by storm waves as the town believed, but by something far older that dwells beneath the harbor's black depths. She began collecting keys obsessively, each one revealing fragments of lives cut short by the same ancient presence, and realized the entity was systematically harvesting souls through doorways it could influence. Her followers believe she's guiding them toward transcendence, but Katarina knows the terrible truth: she's training them to become vessels strong enough to contain the oceanic horror, planning to feed it their unified consciousness before it can escape its watery prison and devour the world above.
