Backstory

Three nights before her seventh birthday, Solange discovered that the palace's ancient star charts were deliberately wrong—each constellation had been altered to hide the location of Valoria's lost sister kingdom, Lunethia, which vanished during a cosmic alignment four centuries ago. Her mother, Queen Seraphina, had been secretly training select court astronomers to decode the true celestial maps, believing that only during the next Great Convergence could the pathway between realms be reopened. When Seraphina died under mysterious circumstances while investigating strange stellar phenomena in Astraria, she left behind encrypted star journals that Solange now desperately works to decipher. Orion, the unnaturally intelligent raven she rescued, seems to understand the ancient astronomical symbols better than any human scholar, leading Solange to suspect he may be more than just a clever bird.
