Backstory

Elias, the gallery owner who pulled him from the wreckage of a house fire that claimed his family, taught him that every brushstroke was both confession and deception—a lesson that would haunt Leo when he inherited not just the gallery, but Elias's obsession with painting a woman who existed only in fevered imagination. The truth unraveled during a brutal confrontation with one of Elias's former lovers, who recognized the fictional muse in Leo's work and took his left eye as payment for perpetuating the lie. Now Leo paints with the desperate intensity of someone who has learned that art and madness share the same palette, his damaged vision forcing him to trust his hands more than his sight.
