Backstory

The revelation came not from court records, but from his own secretly conducted astronomical calculations that revealed a pattern in royal deaths and the appearance of a malevolent star every generation. His father had hidden this fate, hoping Hassan would find joy in his remaining years of sight, but Hassan chose a different path—he began training his other senses and developing a revolutionary system of tactile star maps, determined to continue his celestial work even in darkness. Elder Stellaris, himself a former prince who had abdicated to escape the curse, became Hassan's guide in learning to navigate both the political cosmos of court and the actual cosmos above.
