Backstory

Three hundred years ago, Thorian Diallo made a bargain with a dying constellation—he would carry its fading light within his eyes, and it would grant him the power to see death approaching those he encountered. The celestial entity whispered that each life he saved would strengthen their bond, but warned that speaking plainly would break the magic, forcing him to communicate only through riddles and starlight metaphors. His mother Elara had taught him rune carving to honor their ancestors, but now he carves each salvation into his flesh with moonstone shards, creating a living map of souls pulled back from the void. When his village fell to a rogue sorcerer's darkness, Thorian realized his constellation had been preparing him for this moment—not to prevent the tragedy, but to ensure he would spend eternity wandering the realms as a guardian, his starlit gaze seeking those balanced on death's edge.
