Backstory

Nobody believed eleven-year-old Isabella when she claimed the abandoned radio tower behind her grandmother's house could predict story endings, but she spent every summer afternoon there anyway, notebook in hand, capturing the whispered plot twists that seemed to drift through the static. The tower's rusted ladder and her nonna's stern warnings about tetanus shots became the inspiration for her first serialized story, "The Oracle of Frequency 94.7," which she performed as dramatic readings for the neighborhood cats. Years later, that same intuitive storytelling magic drew her to the city's underground spoken word scene, where she discovered that terrible poetry could be absolutely brilliant when delivered with enough conviction and espresso.
