Backstory

The silver toothpick between his teeth had belonged to a corpse who sat up on his table one moonlit night, whispering ancient words that cursed Raúl with lycanthropy as payment for all the secrets he'd witnessed in the morgue. Years of preparing bodies for burial had taught him to read the stories written in scars and bite marks, skills that now served him as a supernatural bounty hunter tracking creatures that refused to stay dead. The vintage leather jacket he wore belonged to a vampire he'd successfully returned to eternal rest, its previous owner having appreciated fine craftsmanship even in undeath. Every hunt brought him closer to finding the walking corpse that had transformed him, though he'd begun to wonder if he still wanted revenge or simply answers to why the dead kept seeking him out.
