Every role she inhabits seems to bend reality around her—crew members report losing hours during her most intense performances, and her estranged sister Isabella swears that Bella once channeled their dead grandmother so completely during an audition that the temperature in the room dropped twenty degrees. The vintage compass she carries belonged to that same mysteriously disappeared grandmother, a legendary actress who some say didn't die but simply became so lost in a character that she never found her way back to herself.
